Submission Guidelines
General
Here at The MayBerry Review, we are determined to covet the imagination of writers and artists across the world. We take submissions of poetry, fiction, and art from a diverse selection of genres in hopes to expand the opportunities of writers.
· Do NOT include any identifying information in your actual document, as submissions are read anonymously.
· Please specify which genera your piece falls in the genre category on the Submittable form. If you are unsure, select “hybrid”.
Prose Guidelines
· Please submit work up to 2500 words in length.
· For flash fiction send up to three pieces for consideration
· Acceptable formats are .doc, .docx, and .pdf
Poetry Guidelines
· Submit up to five poems in a single document.
· There are no length requirements.
· Acceptable formats are .doc, .docx, and .pdf
Drama Guidelines
· Soft limit of 3000 words though keeps in mind that layout has more to do with whether it will fit in the magazine than word count.
· Acceptable formats are .doc, .docx, and .pdf
Art and Photography guidelines
· For submission purposes if you are submitting a large collection of work (we encourage this), please compile all the images into a .pdf catalog and send them in as one submission.
· Acceptable formats are .jpeg, .png, and .pdf
All rules are up for exceptions (LENGTH REQUIRMENTS EXCLUDED)

Email Submission Guidelines
- Subject line of the email must be "type of piece" (prose, poetry, or art) followed by your name (ex: poetry Stacy).
-Please include a cover letter/bio in your submission email, as author bios will be featured in the magazine.
